Step 2 - Time to create
Use a washing basket, storage box, basket or a decorated cardboard box.
Pack it with any or all of the following
Christmas food
Yule log, Christmas sweets, chocolate, stuffing mix, spiced tea, Christmas biscuits, mince pies, Christmas puddings and any other seasonal treats
All items must be alcohol free
Everyday food
Pasta, pasta sauce, rice, soup, crisps, biscuits
Festive touches
Fairy lights, tinsel, baubles, a tablecloth, decorations. 
Adding a Christmas card signed by all the people who made the hamper is a lovely touch.
Gifts and essentials
Toys for children, hats, scarves, gloves, tea towels, toiletries, a game, socks or anything you would love to find in your own Christmas stocking.
Flyers or Information
Add a flyer for your church's Christmas events or an invitation to something happening in December or the New Year.
The recipients of our hampers have often known a lifetime of "second best". We believe that everyone deserves to receive something truly special, whatever their circumstances becuase each person is equally loved and valued by God.
For this reason, we ask that you please avoid items from "value" ranges, samples or freebies. If you are able, please consider Fairtrade or Luxury items - a small gesture that can make someone feel deeply seen, loved and valued this Christmas.

Step 3 Recipient Matching
The Besom team will match your hamper pledge with referrals for those in need. If we can, we will match you with a recipient in your area.
At this point we will tell you a bit more about the recipients so you can tailor your hamper. 
If you have offered to deliver, we will also give you their name, address and contact phone number.
If you are not able to deliver, the Besom team will arrange a day and time for it to be collected from you.

Step 4 Delivery
Your recipient will have been contacted to let them know they will be hearing from you so call the recipient, introduce yourself and arrange a suitable time for delivery. Ideally, deliver in the week before Christmas and no later than the 22nd December.

Send us a text or email to let us know that your hamper has been successfully delivered (or to ask us for help if you are having difficulties).

We pray that making and delivering your hamper will be a special time for you this Christmas and that it will point your recipient to a God who loves them and cares for them abundantly. We hope this will be the start of a connection for them with their local church too.
