Giving Household Items

Our van team drives around the city every week picking up and dropping off the wonderful items offered to us by the members of Cambridge churches!

If you feel called to give, please email thebesomincambridge@gmail.com

Furniture

Besom gets requests from key workers to assist clients in setting up home.

We are delighted to accept furniture, household items and electrical appliances such as cookers, washing machines and fridge freezers.

Items must be clean and in good condition and beds and sofas require fire tags.

Starter Packs

We put together kits of common and essential kitchen items, such as cutlery, crockery, saucepans and cleaning products.

These kits go to people in need who will be moving into new accommodation.

We are happy to accept these items.

Giving Money

None of us is paid and there are costs that we need to find each month to run the van and rent the warehouse.  We rely completely on donations.

If you would like to pay for specific items for our recipients, please be in touch. Do be assured that we make prayerful and careful consideration about how to use the funds.   Thank you.

Bedding Packs

Our bedding packs comprise duvets, sheets, towels, pillows and pillow cases.

We will be delighted to accept these items in good, clean condition.

Baby Bundles

Our baby bundles are lovingly put together and are a special way to show God’s love to new mums.

We would appreciate donations of the following items: bodysuits, mittens and socks, hats, bibs, blankets, muslin cloths, disposable nappies, hooded bath towels, Johnsons bath lotion, sponges, cotton wipes and toys.

We'd be grateful that any baby clothing donations are new or nearly new.

If you would like to donate good quality items, then please contact us via email in the first instance, with descriptions of what you are offering and photos if possible. Email:   thebesomincambridge@gmail.com   Thanks.
